LABU FLUTES | Official Refund & Exchange Policy

At LABU FLUTES, our primary objective is to provide high-quality, professional-grade musical instruments. Since our inception in 1996, we have maintained rigorous standards of craftsmanship, ensuring each instrument undergoes a multi-point inspection before dispatch.
To maintain the integrity of our professional-grade instruments and ensure a transparent transaction environment, the following terms govern all sales. By purchasing from LABU FLUTES, the customer agrees to these terms in their entirety.
1. General Eligibility for Exchange & Refund
Returns or exchanges are strictly limited to instances involving manufacturing defects or fulfillment errors (e.g., incorrect item shipped). Due to the delicate and personal nature of woodwind instruments (hygiene and artisanal calibration), we do not offer “change of mind” returns.
- Reporting Window: Discrepancies or defects must be reported within three (3) calendar days of confirmed delivery.
- Proof of Purchase: A valid original invoice or digital order confirmation is mandatory for all claims.
- Condition Requirement: Items must be in Original Condition. This includes original packaging, all accessories, certificates of authenticity, and intact security seals.
2. Product Exchange Policy
If a product is verified as faulty or incorrect due to a LABU FLUTES error:
- Costs: LABU FLUTES will bear all reasonable shipping costs for the return and the reshipment of the replacement.
- Process: Customers may facilitate an exchange via our online portal or by visiting our Showroom Center in Dhaka.
- Limit: Exchanges are limited to one (1) instance per original transaction and must be finalized within ten (10) working days of the initial claim approval.
3. Refund Policy & Financial Terms
Refunds are issued solely at the discretion of LABU FLUTES after a technical inspection of the returned goods.
- Approval Timeline: Once a return is received, it will be inspected within three (3) working days.
- Disbursement: Approved refunds are processed within ten (10) working days back to the original payment method.
- Non-Refundable Costs: Original shipping fees, insurance, and any customs duties/taxes incurred are strictly non-refundable.
- Method: For security and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance, refunds are only processed via the original online payment gateway. No cash refunds are permitted for online transactions.
4. Exclusions & Limitations of Liability
LABU FLUTES reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange if:
- Misuse: The instrument shows signs of improper play, environmental damage (cracking due to humidity/temperature), or lack of maintenance.
- Hygiene: For health reasons, any flute or woodwind instrument that has been played (contact with embouchure) cannot be returned unless a mechanical manufacturing defect is proven.
- Alterations: Any third-party repairs or modifications void all return/exchange rights.
- Incidental Damage: Damage occurring during return transit due to insufficient packaging is the sole responsibility of the customer.
5. International Customers
While our policy extends globally, international clients acknowledge that:
- Shipping durations for exchanges may vary based on customs clearance.
- The customer is responsible for all secondary brokerage fees or import duties on replacement items, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
6. Formal Claim Process

7. Legal Notice & Governing Law
This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh. By completing a purchase, the customer waives the right to pursue legal action for any matter falling under the “Exclusions” listed in Section 4. Any disputes arising from this policy that cannot be settled via mediation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
